Allen Cunningham was one of the poker players who took his studies seriously. His first exposure to poker was in some unknown casino in India when he was only 18 years of age. Allen learned the game, loved the game, and started to master it. He started 
making waves in the poker scene back in 1998, the period that changed the game of poker as a profitable game, given the right amount of talent and perseverance on the part of a player. While playing poker ever so often for the sake of profit, he was trying to achieve his degree in civil engineering from UCLA. His winnings came in slow and sparingly, but he was consistently on an uphill slope until he started hitting jackpot after jackpot in 1999. It was the big break he needed; the year where he won six major poker tournaments and put himself on the list of poker players to watch out for. Motivated by this enormous success, Allen decided to drop out of UCLA so that he can play poker full time and on a professional level.
Allen is one of the youngest poker players who has achieved such an amazing level of success. Only 30 years old, his total winnings from poker amount to 9.86 million US dollars – a net worth of almost 10 million, and he’s only on his third decade on earth! That amount came from finishing in first place 16 times. With his numerous awards from prestigious poker tournaments, this college student turned professional poker player proved to the world that his decision was absolutely right. He has no less than 5 World Series of Poker Bracelets under his belt, each for a different game. These include Seven Card Stud, Deuce to Seven Lowball, No Limit Texas Hold’em and Pot Limit Texas Hold’em.
