Blackjack
Simply to put, blackjack is just a game of adding, definitely an easy thing to learn to play. This is probably one of the reasons why this game has catch the interests of many players around the world, whether at home, in casinos or online. Blackjack is probably one of the too many games out there where players have a very high chance of winning, hence the added attraction of the game. One does not need to be a an expert player to win the game.
Unlike other games, one of the basic thing to remember when playing blackjack is this: players playing against a dealer. Players do not play against each other in a game of blackjack so there’s a high chance that multiple winners can emerge in a game. The suit cards in blackjack all have the same value: a ten. Numbered cards from Two to Ten have their face value and an Ace is counted as 1 or 11 depending on the situation.
The aim in blackjack is to get a hand that total to 21, or as close to 21 as possible, with the use of two cards only. Game starts with each player placing their bets in a circle in the blackjack table. after bets have been placed, each players will be dealt two cards by the dealer, including himself. Unlike the players in the table, one of the dealer’s cards will be dealt face up, the other face down (Hole card). In most casinos, there is a rule that if a dealer gets a total of 17 or more card, the dealer must stand. Players can take advantage of this.
With the cards in player’s hand, they must now decide on a best possible hand. A player takes a Stand if the player believes that their card is enough or as close as possible to 21. A player takes a Hit if they feel that getting another card is necessary to get them near a 21. The dealer gives a player another card should they take a hit. If a player gets an Ace and a 10 (or any face cards) this is called a blackjack. Once the player has decided their step of action, the dealer will turn over his hole card and hand around the table are then compared. If the dealer has a 21 or a value higher than a player’s hand, the player lose. If the player has a value higher than the dealer, the player wins. But if both the dealer and the player have a 21, called a Push, then the player wins back the same amount that they placed as a bet.
