Of course, in the more recent years Tilly is known for either her role in Liar, Liar, or for her various voice-over jobs in different animated projects. She is a semi-regular at The Family Guy,  and has lent her voice to films such as Monsters, Inc. and Stuart Little. To those who are fans of the poker world, though, she is more than just an actress who has appeared in many films. She is a known World Series of Poker bracelet winner, having won the Ladies’ Event in 2005.

She started being recognized in the poker world when she won the WSOP Ladies’ No Limit Texas Hold’Em Event in 2005, taking home $158,625 and a WSOP bracelet, which is the highest honor that a poker player can achieve in the poker industry. All in all her poker winnings are at over $450,000. In 2006, she indicated in an interview that her interest in the game of poker was greater than her passion for her acting craft. While she retired from the world of professional poker playing in December of 2008 (stating “Trying to find validation in poker is like trying to find a virgin in a whorehouse… I’m just going to treat [poker] more like a hobby and less like a career”), she still says that she cannot quit the game of poker altogether, because she does love the game.

Sami Selio is one of the most recent professional sports players to sign onto the Team Pokerstars Pro SportsStars. He was made part of the team very recently – PokerStars released the announcement that he was going to be part of the team on the 28^th of October, 2009. People have yet to see, then, how he is going to perform on the poker tables, but if his career as a racer is an indication of his attitude towards the game then he’s sure to hit it big. He has background in the game, though, as he is a trained croupier and he understands how the game works, and so he is expected to provide a good game on the tables soon.

His first rise to prominence began in 1990, when he was crowned the champion in the Finnish Championship in powerboat racing. His sport requires precision and skill, as one small mistake could cause these extra-lightweight boats to fly and turn over or worse, crash into another boat, turning into a fiery wreck. He demonstrated the precision and skill, working his way up to the Formulas, until eight years later, in 1998, when he first made his appearance at Formula One. During his debut he won Rookie Of The Year, which indicated his promising career as a powerboat racer, and he continued to place in the Formula One races, finishing second in 2005 and finally achieving his victory in 2007. Aside from racing powerboats and playing poker, he also likes golf, and he is a licensed scuba diver.

Around the same time as his drafting in the Canucks, he also announced that he was playing for Team Pokerstars. He has been playing online already under the name MatsSundin, and as part of his deal he has to tour with the rest of the Team Pokerstars players to compete at live poker table tournaments. Sundin has been a winner since he began his career, and he intends to be a winner in this particular game as well. He has declared that he would be donating all of his winnings from the Pokerstars tour to charity. Again, here’s one team player you should not miss watching.

Outside of his rugby career, he is a prominent player in online poker, playing under his surname – Chabal. He is currently a member of the Pokerstars SportsStars team. On the Pokerstars website, he is said to be known for his “agressive and hard-hitting style”, which works both on the rugby field and in the poker tables alike. As a member of Team Pokerstars, he joins the other members of the Team Pokerstars SportsStars in touring to promote the game of poker, and he aims to build his name up in the poker game circuit as he has done in the world of rugby. Watch out for him in the world of poker – this is, after all, the guy who was able to get the French team 30 caps in his career as a pro rugby player. That, among other things, should speak for his style of playing.

Becker is of German origins, and during his time as a professional tennis player he was one of the best players of his time, being a Grand Slam winner six times. He also is one of the youngest players to win the men’s singles at one of the Grand Slam tournaments, the Wimbledon, having won the title at the age of seventeen back in 1985. He also joined the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, and won the gold medal for his tennis event. Over the course of his career, he has managed to accumulate forty-nine awards, and he has been inducted in the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2003 at the age of thirty-six.

As mentioned earlier, he joined Team Pokerstars in 2007. Poker was a recreational activity for him back when he was still a pro tennis player, but then when he retired, he decided to take his poker playing to the next level. He claimed that back in his pro tennis days, poker helped train his concentration, and so he wanted to train his poker skills now that he has achieved so much in tennis, so he can try and excel at poker as well. He has widely exposed himself to the world of poker in the past few years, having joined the tournaments that are hosted by Pokerstars both live and on the internet, playing undeer his name, Boris Becker. He is inching towards his goal of excelling at the game, his greatest achievement so far having been his 7^th place winning at the fourth season grand final of the Pokerstars European Tour at Monte Carlo. He won a total of $18,672 in their €500 No Limit Hold’em event. He continues to play with Team Pokerstars today as he tries to establish himself as a poker player.
