H.O.S.E.
H.O.S.E. Poker shares the same rules as H.O.R.S.E. Poker. The only difference is that it does not include Razz. The game blends poker variations such as Texas Holdem, Omaha High-low, Seven-card Stud, and Eight or Better Seven-card Stud. The game is a
simpler version of the latter, and is a great starting point for those who have no experience in playing multiple poker variations at once.
In order to be good in H.O.S.E. Poker, it is necessary to have good timing and flexibility. Of course, it is also equally important to have at least a basic knowledge of Texas Holdem, Omaha High-Low, Seven-card Stud, and Eight Or Better. Playing the game in casinos can be very intimidating, since the game requires greater skills. A little mistake can cost a lot.
The games are played in order, beginning from Texas Holdem, then Omaha High-low, and so on. The game jumps to the next one in three ways. A time limit may be set for each game before proceeding to the next game. The time limit may be 5 min, 10 min, or 30 min, depending on the rules. Another way is rotation by hand. This is a very challenging way because it is fast-paced and requires you to be more alert. The third way is after the blinds have gone up. The key is to be focused and avoid getting mixed up with the variations.
H.O.S.E. Poker is normally played at high-stakes tables. The great thing with this mixed game is that only a few people are good with it, since most specialize in one or two poker variations. The key to being good at this game is to gain as much experience as you can in the variations. It may take quite some time to be good in the four games, but with effort and consistence, you will be good in no time.
